Instruct your solicitor at the earliest stage. This way they can prepare documentation and help the sale move more efficiently.
Get your paper work together. Ensure you have all the documentation relating to your property to hand. This could include any work you have had done to the property, planning permission, guarantees and certificates.
If you are selling a flat or leasehold, try to ensure that your ground rent or management charges are paid up-to-date with receipts.
Complete and return all paperwork from your solicitor as soon as possible; for example, the fixtures and fittings enquiry form.
